Our History
In response to the growing need for housing for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, Covenant Ability Network of Illinois opened Bjorklund House in 1994. Located in Oak Forest, Illinois, Bjorklund House is an Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, serving 16 adults.
Four years later, Reynolds Lane—located just a few blocks from Bjorklund House—opened its doors to eight individuals with varying levels of independence. Covenant Ability Network of Illinois expanded its reach in 2013, opening our Elizabeth Court home, which provides community-based living to six women with developmental disabilities. A fourth home, Long Ave., was established in 2016, serving four men who require a higher level of care.
